Electricity & Lighting Inc. (Eli) was founded in September 1992 by Phillip Mash Jr. as a two-man electrical contracting company. Today, Eli continues to serve the over-the-mountain area with a staff consisting of over 40 electricians. Eli has turned into a true family-owned business, and Phillip runs the company with his son and his son-in-law, Phillip III. and Khristian McAlister. Eli has primarily focused on residential electrical construction and has been working on residential properties for over 25 years. In 2018, Phillip, Phillip III, and Khristian decided to launch Eli Services, a residential service division of Electricity & Lighting Inc. Our trucks specialize in residential wiring, anything from 25,000 square foot custom homes to changing light bulbs. We strive to keep the same quality and integrity that the business was founded on over 25 years ago as we continue to serve the Birmingham area. Our goal is simple: to treat each and every customer like family.
